Spanish techno veteran Oscar Mulero began his DJ career in the late 80s, establishing the legendary Omen Club in Madrid and moving on to found both Warm Up Recordings and notable offshoot Polegroup. Cut to decades later and he’s still doing his thing, having released productions and remixes through imprints such as Coda, Pure Plastic, Tresor, Tsunami and Main Out.
Mulero’s latest creation is “Perfect Peace“, his fifth full-length outing released on March 23rd via Semantica. A continuation of the slower, more introspective moods explored on his January EP “Acceptance”, “Perfect Peace” is said to go “deep and low, exploring sonic textures and low-BPM grooves”, shifting his focus from the dancefloor towards the more exploratory worlds of experimental and IDM.
Following the release of the record last week, we’re proud to exclusively premiere this powerfully evocative video for album cut “The Arms Of Fate”, directed by Spanish photographer and filmmaker Patricia Barroeta. A stark and striking piece rendered in the form of a triptych, it’s a perfect match for the dark and gloomy textures of Mulero’s crepuscular sonics, both of them chilling to the bone.
